"That's just our policy" is not the same thing as "that's medically necessary for you." First up, the hep lock IV that gets placed on basically everyone whether or not anyone actually needs it. HeHe's not saying IVs are bad, she's saying "everyone gets one just in case" isn't the same as "you need one," and she wants you sorted into an actual risk category instead of a blanket policy.
